It's Spring! Flowers are popping up - time for coconut cupcakes (lots of them!!) and trying to make my first scribble scarf. My spinning is finally improving!! and it feels good . Love Spring.

OK - the blanket is finally knitted ... just waiting for the ok on the accent yarn from Heidi.... what do you think? Is this the silver that you had in mind? Let me know - also, how much? On both edges?

The spring flowers are starting to bloom... Hopefully, no more snow.

New skates!!! And a flip jump!! (I posted pics of the old vs. the new...holy toe pick!!)

Started the week off with a snow day!! Fantastic. Such a nice way to end a vacation week.

Skating's going well. I finally feel good about the loop jump - but the sit spin and waltz jump/loop jump aren't always what they should be.... However, the spiral/mohawk/spiral comination is finally something that I'm proud of.

ok, Heidi's blanket is 80% complete. I'm in the home stretch...and some quickie scarf projects from last year are making a lot of appearances in all this snow.

Well, back home and it's the last day of vacation. Feeling much better - was so sick driving home yesterday... the blanket is 60% done. Wondering if Heidi would like some white yarn or ribbon woven through for accents... it might make cleaning a bit more tricky, though.... hmmmmm..... don't know what I should do....

It's vacation week!!! Love it. Love it. Love it.

Some blanket progress - but slowed down when my interchangeable needle fell apart & I had to put the dropped stitches back on --- missed four and didn't find until much later.... AAARGH!!! Some fixing ensued, and hopefully will blend in ok. At least it's starting to look like a blanket.

Lots of skating progress. The entrance to the spins is much better and the loop jump is also much better.... not beautiful yet, but the end product seems possible.

There is a very early crocus trying to come up! And some robins have come back...

So much snow.... it's been like driving in a labyrinth.

Working a lot.

Knitting a bit. The blanket's a bit longer. I'm up to about a foot now. Wonder if Heidi wants fringe. I'm keeping track of the time it takes for the first time. Very enlightening!

Skating's been great lately. Lots of progress on that loop jump. I've finally landed a few legit jumps.... at least I know it's possible now. I'm also getting lower on my sit spin. It's all not that beautiful yet... far from mastered...but I'm working on it.

A DAY OFF!!! Love it. Started Heidi's blanket... it's an experiment... we'll see...

Lots of snow yesterday - must have had over a foot.

It's snowing again! Really beautiful but it's been extremely cold...nothing like walking from the parking lot at -10F. At least the cars have been starting in the morning.

We lost our cat of sixteen years ... she will be missed...

Back to skating ... my spiral sequence is feeling better - I finally found a good spot to plant my arms...really, really, really frustrated with my loop jump progress. (I feel like I'm in the one step back part of the learning curve...)

Only a little progress with Tanja's socks... loosing Saskia threw me for a loop ...but unfortunately without the accessory jump :)

....ooooo.... Heidi's yarn is here..... I can't wait to get the gauging done and start...

Drove back to NH - and was back to work...
We did have a snow day on Wednesday.
Only a little time for skating this week - but a little progress on my loop jumps. -
Made a little more progress on Tanja's sock.... hope that she likes the mismatched stripe effect - I do.
We've had so much sleet and freezing rain that I can walk on the snow without falling through....
